Clinton Foundation to Limit Foreign Donations if Hillary Wins Presidency

President Bill Clinton joins teens as he kicks off a'Voices Against Violence  conference in October 1999

However, unlike its competitors at ABC and NBC, the program aired a full report on the Clinton Foundation’s move that lasted one minute and 42 seconds. Under the pretenses of charitable work, the foundation has furthered the interests of the Clintons and their corporate and wealthy donors across the globe.

Because foreigners and nations can’t donate to American politicians’ campaigns, the foundation’s donations seemed to some like a loophole for foreign nations to support Hillary.

Foreign nationals and governments have indeed given hundreds of millions to the Clinton Foundation, according to The New York Times. As a means to obscure its list of donors, the foundation has created branches of initiatives, such as the Clinton Global Initiative, and a Canadian affiliate, the Clinton Giustra Enterprise Partnership. He characterized the foundation’s receipt of foreign dollars as a ” massive, ongoing conflict of interest that gets bigger by the day”.

Bill will also resign from the foundation board, and Chelsea will stop raising money for it. She abided instructions from one of her prominent donors, billionaire George Soros, to intervene in Albanian politics.

Questions remain as to how much influence donors and foreign governments to the foundation had over State Department business and how much they will have should Clinton win the White House.

This week, State Department officials have faced questions this week about the department’s interest in purchasing land for a USA embassy in Lagos from Lebanese-Nigerian businessmen Ronald and Gilbert Chagoury. After all, there’s a good chance Hillary Clinton will be president in just a few short months.

But few were buying the sincerity of Clinton’s promise.

Hillary Clinton resigned from her board seat in 2015 after she announced her presidential candidacy. “If Clinton is elected, the foundation should be shut down”.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Kelly File”, Breitbart editor at large and author of “Clinton Cash” Peter Schweizer reacted to the Clinton Foundation pledging to not accept foreign donations if Hillary is elected president by saying, “back in 2008, they actually signed certain ethics agreements, and completely violated those”.
