Film Director Nominated for Oscar Couldn’t Attend Ceremony after President Announced “Muslim Ban”

An Iranian film director, who has been nominated for Oscar, in the category of best foreign language film, couldn’t attend the ceremony, which is going to held in February after president Donald Trump announced a ban on nationals from 7 Muslim Countries.

It has been reported that the ban has been made on the 7 Muslim Countries from entering the US for the next four months.

As of now, it is believed that the Iranian director, Asghar Farhadi, who also won an Oscar in the year 2011 for his film “A Separation” and this time again his movie “The Salesman” has been nominated for best foreign language film, wouldn’t attend the ceremony.
